Cody Johnson took to his social media to share some "not so good news" with fans: namely, that he will be on vocal rest for the next few days as he is watched by his doctor.

Cody said in part on Instagram, "God willing, this will be an isolated incident, and as of right now, there is no concern about long-term damage. However, I would appreciate y'all keeping me in your prayers for a safe and speedy recovery."

He adds, "I can't wait to get back out there doing what I love. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time."

A handful of country stars reacted to his post. Jon Pardi, who was on vocal rest himself recently, wrote, "I FEEL THIS!!!!! You can do it!"

Chris Young also responded saying, "Feel better man. Can’t take chances with a voice that great!"

Johnson is scheduled to play his next show on July 23.
