The Penn Wynne/Overbrook Hills Fire Company and the community are mourning the loss of one of its own, volunteer Firefighter Sean W. DeMuynck. Sean, a native of Canada, bravely served the local community since 2019 while his beloved wife worked as a resident physician at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. On July 4, 2021, just 24 hours prior to returning home to Canada with his wife, Sean responded to a fire that tragically took his life. He was only 35 years old.
