Dolly Parton Makes Forbes ‘Richest Self-Made Women’ List
Dolly Parton’s 2020 was like most of ours in that she stayed behind closed doors, but where she differs is all the stuff she accomplished in a year when most of the world slowed down.
Parton made headlines when she donated $1 million to the Moderna Vaccine, but then she just kept working and working. She released a Christmas album, a Christmas movie, wrote a song inspired by the pandemic, released a detailed book of the many songs she has written, and of course, kept her Dollywood theme park in East Tennessee alive despite having to be closed for almost a year.
Forbes listed Dolly’s worth at $350 million. She joins other women on the 2021 list including supermodel Cindy Crawford.

In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s.
Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
