Kendall’s Crusade
Just another moment of greatness from this amazing woman. Leslie Gudel is the first woman sports reporter in Philly at Comcast Sports Net. She knows everyone and has seen it all but Leslie’s daughter Kendall gave her the scare of her life when, at 10-years-old, Kendall had a stroke. After a ton of testing, it turns out Kendall has an AVM, or arteriovenous malformation. It’s is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain – and it can be fatal.
Today, 7-years later, Kendall is not only alive she’s kicking butt. Leslie and Kendall are shining a light on this disease and asked Andie Summers to join their celebrity ONE ARMED golf tournament. How do you play golf with only one arm? “Painfully,” according to Andie. But Kendall makes it look effortless.

Five years ago my daughter, Kendall, lost use of her left hand after having radiation to treat her brain #AVM. Last week she embraced the idea of learning to play one-handed & had her first lesson. It will take some time but she’s on her way #proudmom #resiliency #avmsurvivor pic.twitter.com/gOBtxmomq5
