Getting You Ready for the Storm – #AccordingtoAndie
Karen Rogers from 6abc popped into The Andie Summers Show this morning to update us on what to expect with the storms coming through today. The risk for severe weather will be this afternoon into this evening. Here are some things to keep in mind:
- Drive times will be extended – if you can even get to work – so pack your patience.
- Soggy bus stops for kiddos going to school. Remember umbrellas!
- Are you ready in the event you lose power? Stock up on batteries, flashlights, candles, and make sure your phones stay charged as well as back up power sources.
- Speaking of technology – make sure you download a movie or two if you have littles at home. You may not have internet used to stream.
- And you have to eat! Do you have food that doesn’t need to be cooked? (Storms are great for junk food!!!)
- And remember, if the power goes out, try to NOT open the fridge or the freezer. Keep them closed!
