92.5 XTU is Up for Major Market Radio Station of the Year at This Year’s CMAs
Through a lonely and isolated year, XTU actually brought listeners closer to Nashville with more interviews, more virtual new artist performances and appearances than ever before! We met Darius in his kitchen and heard Lee Brice coach Carly Pearce on turkey calling and school Andie Summers on the perfect duck lure. We enjoyed weekly mini-concerts with new stars Jimmie Allen, Maren Morris, Locash, and Ingrid Andress, and reconnected with Tim, Miranda and Lady A! We offered invitation–only virtual meet & greets for Zooms with Brantley and Brad and hosted our first Christmas Concert featuring Dustin Lynch, Chase Rice, Runaway June, Lainey Wilson and more!
92.5 XTU is renowned for welcoming the industry’s brightest new talent into the station. This year the Lounge opened ‘virtually’ – allowing even more listeners and viewers to ‘meet’ the artists, hear them perform songs and participate in a Q&A session about their music. Although we couldn’t attend many concerts last year we wanted to bring as much live music to you as possible. We decided to bring Kenny Chesney to you with the Kenny Chesney Hometown Tailgate with Razz with live recordings and interviews with Kenny.
This past year 92.5 XTU came together to help people and businesses effecting by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our We Are All in This Together Community of Caring Initiative is part of the Beasley Best Community of Caring program, offering information and local resources on Covid 19 issues important to our listeners, from fostering good mental health, to kids activities and protecting the environment. We also created a Philly Stands Together program to sell custom station shirts to benefit the local Philly COVID 19 Relief Fund, hosted small business webinars for businesses affected by the COVID crisis that addressed resources and funding available and advertising messages for those closed and essential businesses who were still seeing customers and clients. We set up Operation Shop Local where local area business and restaurants could promote their quarantine offerings and to sell cards for future purchases. We also created a feature called “Hometown Heroes” where 92.5 XTU listeners sent the names of area ‘Heroes’ on the job during the quarantine, from health care workers, to nursing home staff and delivery workers, to be posted on the Heroes Wall at 925xtu.com.
92.5 XTU has also been involved with various charitable community efforts including:
Clover’s Corner – Dave Cruise (The Andie Summers Show) hosts a weekly Facebook Live show from the studio featuring pets available for immediate adoption from area shelters.
92.5 XTU Survivors Celebration Lunch Each year Andie Summers hosts the station’s celebration of breast cancer survivors, as nominated by our listeners. The honorees receive gifts and a special performance from Ashley McBryde.
Out of the Darkness Walk Led by Andie Summers, 92.5 XTU is a sponsor of the annual Out of the Darkness Walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Held virtually in 2020, the walk and the message was featured in on-air mentions and interviews.

St Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital 92.5 XTU returned to the St. Jude family with a December Radiothon December 10th and 11th. The grand total: $243,000
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year Usually a team sponsor for the Big Climb, in 2021 the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society nominated Andie Summers to run for Woman of the Year. A great honor, every dollar raised was a vote for Andie. She campaigned during her show and at events she organized throughout the Delaware Valley.
THE XTU STAFF IS INVOLVED Andie Summers supports and works with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, she speaks on mental heath awareness and women’s leadership and mentoring roles.
