Warning: Do Not Eat Fish Caught in Neshaminy Creek Due to Contamination!
The weather has been really nice lately, so if you’ve been out fishing, be careful.
Here are the details from PhillyVoice:
A “Do Not Eat” advisory has been issued for all fish species caught in the watershed due to extremely high levels of the hazardous chemical perfluorooctane sulfonate, or PFOS, which readily accumulates in fish tissue.
The 40-mile Neshaminy Creek runs through Bucks and Montgomery counties, passing through Tyler State Park in Newtown and Neshaminy Creek State Park in Bensalem.
