Mystery Animal Who Escaped Shelter in Pennsylvania is Finally Identified!
This is seriously one of the craziest stories in a while. If you remember, it all started when a women in Western PA thought the shivering animal was an abandon dog. However, after she brought it inside she thought it might be another animal. So she called a sheltered, who then called another sheltered, who took the animal in and gave it a DNA test to see what it was. THEN IT ESCAPED! Literally chewed through the cage!!!
Now, nearly a month after the animal — believed to be either a dog or coyote — was found in freezing temperatures outside a woman’s home, it has officially been identified as a coyote, Wildlife Works in Mount Pleasant said on Monday, Feb. 14. DNA sampling was done to properly identify the creature.
“Still no sightings, though, thinking he is long gone,” wildlife rehabilitator Morgan Barron told TribLive.com.
