Last week I had the opportunity to live out my teenage dream and speak with Poison lead singer Bret Michaels who will be one of the headliners at this year’s Barefoot Country Music Fest in Wildwood.  While our conversation covered being part of an 80s hairband, making the transition to reality tv star and even starting to swim in the country music end of the pool, we also talked about St. Jude and the fantastic work they do.  When I expressed to Bret that XTU Nation, and country fans in general, always comes through when we ask them he agreed that country fans are a whole other level of giving.  Then he put his money where his mouth is – in order to start the XTU Annual Country Cares for Kids Radiothon, Bret donated $5,000 through his Life Rocks Foundation.   I was stunned and humbled by such a tremendous gift! Thanks to Bret and the Life Rocks Foundation we are off to a tremendous start this year!  Listen to Bret make this very generous donation
