Kelly Clarkson Touts Her Home State, Fans Reaction is Mixed

Kelly Clarkson is all about her home state competing in her new NBC's show, American Song Contest, and posted a throwback photo on Instagram with a sign reading "Don't Mess With Texas," and fans' reactions to the post have been mixed at best.

Kelly posted in part, "Since Texas is performing tonight, I had to give some love to my home state with this #throwback photo... Don't mess with Texas!"

Fans quickly reacted with one writing, "Love you. Not fond of Texas at all!!!" Another fan had similar thoughts, writing, "Love you, not a current fan of your state."

One fan got a bit harsher about the Lonestar state, saying, "Sorry, Kelly, but Texas is just as sorely run as Florida. Both have serious issues."

One or two positive thoughts were on her post as a fan asked the question, "Best city in Texas?!!!!" and another said, "And the Lone Star State loves you!"
