After being asked on the Grammy Red Carpet by E! about writing her new music while on vacation, Kelsea offered about the new song out this week (4/8), "I just had a song go number one at country radio ("Half of My Hometown")," noting that her new song is "Heart First" is very different in tone. "This one is the other side. It's, like, a bop: Breezy, windows down, go for a drive, get right."
Ballerini posted to Instagram about the new tune, "that's just the kind of risk that we take. HEARTFIRST APRIL 8."
Kelsea also talked about her friend Taylor Swift saying, "I feel like she constantly makes people proud whether you know her or not because she's always just advocating for change and pushing everything forward for everyone. I'm always on her team."
