Blake Shelton To Release Acoustic Version Of A Classic
Blake Shelton may be in Oklahoma with his wife Gwen Stefani for spring planting, but he’s still promoting his music, and on Friday (4/15), he’s releasing an acoustic version of his first single and number one song, “Austin.”
Shelton wrote on Instagram along with a throwback image of him on the 2001 cover of the single, “Can’t wait to finally share the acoustic version of #Austin on streaming platforms this Friday! Y’all are gonna love it.”
The song spent five weeks on top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 2001. “Austin” tied a record set by Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992. Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart” also stayed atop the chart for five weeks.
