An Amtrak Station is Coming to the Poconos!

The timeline for the Amtrak stop will depend on the results of the ridership study underway.
Last July, the Pennsylvania Northeast Regional Railroad Authority signed a deal with Amtrak to look at passenger rail between Scranton and New York City. The proposed route would have stops in East Stroudsburg, Mount Pocono and Tobyhanna on the way to Scranton.
Chris Barrett, of the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau, said the past few decades have shown how the Poconos has reinvented itself, leading to 30 million visitors each year.
