Carly Pearce performed The Judds' "Grandpa" song at their induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame yesterday (5/1), just one day after Naomi Judd passed away.

A long-time fan of the country duo, Carly took to her socials last night after her performance to express her thoughts on an emotional evening in Nashville. She wrote on Instagram, "A few months ago, the @officialcmhof called me to ask if I would be a surprise musical guest honoring @thejuddsofficial for their induction ceremony. I've loved them my whole life, so this was such exciting news."

She added, "Last night was one of the most emotional experiences I have ever had in my life… singing 'Grandpa' in light of such tragic loss, looking in the eyes of Naomi's beautiful daughters. I am forever grateful & send Wynonna and Ashley all my love. Long live the Judds."

LeAnn Rimes responded to Carly's post, writing, "stunning! i would have never made it through without bawling!!! i bet you sounded beautiful on that song."
