Maren Morris took to Twitter to express her interest in a possible career on Broadway and a part in the musical Wicked.
Maren Tweeted over the weekend (5/1), "Gonna send an audition tape in for Wicked on Broadway. What the hell. Let's see what happens."
The tweet got a response from Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, who was nominated for a Tony for her role in Wicked as Glinda The Good Witch. Kristin wrote, "You could play either part. Call me and let's chat. Come on, baby. I got you. And you got the chops."
Maren wouldn't be the first country star to hit Broadway; Reba starred in Annie Get Your Gun in 2001 to rave reviews that Reba said at the time, "My mother couldn't have given me better reviews."
Reba also starred in South Pacific on Broadway in 2006.
