Wildwood + Ocean City to Offer Jitney Shuttle from Boardwalk to Entertainment Districts!
This is awesome! It will make everything so must easier to get around Ocean City and Wildwood this Summer.
Wildwood: A new jitney service will run through Wildwood, Wildwood Crest and North Wildwood this summer in an effort to increase accessibility to the boardwalk, amusement piers and entertainment district.
The Wildwoods Island Shuttle Service will debut Thursday, May 26 with weekend-only service continuing through Sunday, June 19. Daily service will begin June 20 and run through Labor Day. Weekend-only service will return from Sept. 9 through Oct. 22.
Ocean City: A new jitney service in Ocean City is being planned for the upcoming summer season, officials from the shore town recently announced.
The service will offer two routes that will transport people to the boardwalk and the downtown shopping district, with four to five jitneys running each day, Mayor Jay Gillian said at a recent City Council meeting. City officials will use the first year to assess ridership data and improve the jitney for future seasons.
