Amazon Delivery Will Cost More Next Month
We already have seen prices rise in, well almost everything, so it’s no surprise that it will effect shipping and online shopping. Looks like you’ll be paying more for holiday shopping this year as some companies are adding extra fees to cover the cost of getting your package where it needs to go.
Amazon is among them, adding a “Holiday Peak Fulfillment Fee.” The USPS, FedEx and UPS have all announced similar holiday rate surcharges this year.
According to NewsNation, the fulfillment fee for third-party sellers that use Amazon fulfillment kicks in October 15 and lasts until January 14, 2023. Amazon says the average surcharge will be about 35 cents per item, though the exact amount varies by size and weight.
An Amazon spokesperson said the company does not anticipate customers will be impacted by the fee for sellers.
