Blake Shelton posted a fun promo for The Voice on his Instagram. In the video, he's walking around the studio with one farm animal in particular.
Blake is walking a goat on a leash outside of Studio 25 on the set of The Voice and he says with frustration to the goat, "Come on let's go! Come on, just go! I gotta get back in there! Is it number one or number two?" He then bends down to the goat level and says, "Hey, listen to me I know what it's like, we're 'GOATs.' I know (kisses the goat on the head) I love you. Okay, let's go! What is this (wipes his hand)? Disgusting. I know she gets on my nerves too. Not Gwen, the other one." "GOAT," of course, is an abbreviation for "Greatest Of All Time." It is believed that “G.O.A.T.” was first used to mean ”greatest of all time” in September 1992, when Lonnie Ali, Muhammad Ali’s wife, incorporated "Greatest of All Time, Inc. (G.O.A.T. Inc.)" to consolidate and license her husband’s intellectual properties for commercial purposes. But the term was used more widely when LL Cool J released a best-of called G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) in 2000.
Shelton's fun promo got a bunch of responses, including Shelton's Nashville Bar Ole Red, who commented, "You’ve goat to be kidding us, boss." One fan wrote, "The show would never be the same without you.#Don’t ever leave." Another fan said, "Gotta love Blake … always bringing it." One more fan commented, "I love you guys!!! Y’all MAKE that show!!!"
Gwen Stefani also posted a fun promo of The Voice on her Instagram where all four coaches are talking around a table where she tells Camila Cabello, "You're slicing it." John Legend says, "You are doing a great job." Gwen continues, "I am amazed at how you are doing like I am gonna have to like..." Camila says to Gwen, Are we in an alliance? Oh no, you are saying the opposite, like you are going to have to fight me." John pipes in and says "Don't trust any of these alliances, we ain't loyal."
The Voice Season 22 premiered on Monday (9/19). It will air on Tuesday night at 8 PM ET.
Stefani posted an earlier video message on Instagram on Monday (9/19) saying she was so glad to be back and she loved seeing her husband Blake on set and he looked "hot." She captioned the video, "feels so surreal tune in tonight for night 2 of #VoicePremiere."
