(WATCH) Nicole’s Dad Who’s Battling Parkinson’s Finally Gets to Go in the Ocean!
As most of you know, my dad has been battling Parkinson’s for almost 30 years. He is such a fighter, always pushing himself, all while having the strongest most joyful attitude. He is literally the definition of inspiration.
My family did a beach vacation in Ocean City this Summer and thanks to their incredible Beach Wheelchair program, we were able to not not take my dad to the beach, but my brother and I were able to take him in the ocean! He hasn’t been to the ocean in years, because it was always so hard for him to walk on the sand. It was such a special moment!
