So, what if you want to visit an area of the state that’s isn’t an obvious one for fall colors? Maybe you would even call it a “secret” place. Well, the crew at BestLifeOnline.com has done the work for you and put together a list of the 10 best “secret places” in the U.S. to see fall foliage. “Summer’s end signals the last days of warm weather in most areas,” they state in the article. “But it also means the return of fall’s dazzling colors in full display as trees begin to turn for the season. You can plan entire trips around leaf peeping, whether it’s heading to a national park for unimpeded foliage or planning a drive to take in the dazzling orange, red, and yellow hues that dominate the landscape. And while the pastime is popular enough to drive crowds to well-known viewing destinations, there are still plenty of under-the-radar options for getting your fix.”
So, which Pennsylvania spot is considered one of the best “secret places” to take in autumn? There are plenty of options in our state, but read on for the full list of the 10 best cities in the U.S. to view fall foliage, according to BestLifeOnline.com. Find more information on all of the areas here. I will say that the No. 1 spot is not in our state- it’s in Julian, California.
