Pennsylvania Corn Maze Voted No. 3 Best in America
It’s corn maze season, which is always a good thing. Going to a corn maze is just an autumn appropriate-activity that is hard to pass up. As it turns out Pennsylvania has one of the best corn mazes in all of America.
The study was done by USA Today’s 10.best.com site. “Every fall, farms across the country transform their cornfields into interactive mazes, perfect for a fall family outing,” they state. “There are more than 500 of these mazes across the nation, but our readers have helped us narrow it down to 20 of the most exemplary, both for the quality of the maze itself and for the wealth of other activities that are offered.”
Of course, I was curious about the No. 1 best corn maze in America, and why it was picked as No. 1. According to the polling, it’s at Treworgy’s Family Orchard in Maine. “Host to the largest continually running corn maze in the state, Treworgy’s Family Orchard’s maze covers over four acres and consists of 60,000 corn plants grown to a height of ten feet. Each year, family members design and plant a new maze using traditional surveying and drafting methods.” That sounds delightful.
So, what about Pennsylvania? Cherry Crest Adventure Farm in Ronks, Pennsylvania. It was actually voted No. 3 on the list, which is exciting. “Located in Pennsylvania’s Dutch Country, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm’s Amazing Maize Maze covers five acres, includes 2.5 miles of paths and claims the title of ‘America’s longest running corn maze,'” the publication states about the corn maze. “Guests spend an hour or more navigating the maze with the help of Maze Masters, clues and a gameboard.” I’ve actually never been there, but now it’s on my fall to-do list to definitely go and check it out.
