Bacon Themed Restaurant ‘Bake’N Bacon’ Coming to South Philly
I don’t even know if I can finish writing this post because my mouth is already watering and I am getting hungry. If you are a bacon lover like me (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love bacon?!) then you’ll want to keep reading to hear all about the newest brick and mortar coming to South Philly.
You may be familar with the food truck Bake’N Bacon… well now owner and chef Justin Coleman is opening a bacon themed restaurant this winter at 1148-50 S. 11th St. Philadelphia, PA 19147.
The location will offer lunch, brunch, dinner, happy hour, and late night all featuring bacon-forward dishes, as well as dishes that pair well with bacon, including new creations as well as long-time favorites from the Bake’N Bacon food trucks. Some menu items will include:
- Bacon Pesto Chicken Sandwich – made with thick cut Applewood smoked bacon, grilled chicken, pesto, tomato and balsamic glaze.
- Bacon BBQ Sandwich – Marinated grilled chicken breast, thick cut bacon, smoked bacon infused barbeque sauce, onion rings.
- Bacon Mac Sandwich – Thick cut bacon, our special baked mac & cheese, and smoked chipotle tomato sauce.
- Bacon Buffalo Sandwich – Shredded buffalo chicken with thick cut applewood smoked bacon and drizzled with ranch dressing to make those buffalo lovers happy.
- Bacon Burnt Ends – Extra thick pork belly smoked for 3 hours until tender, then baked with their special brown sugar and spice glaze.
- Pound Cake – Secret family recipe for dense pound cake, served with a side of bacon infused caramel sauce.
- Chocolate Covered Bacon
Two of Coleman’s favorite dishes he will be serving up are the Savory Brisket Waffle, a Savory Belgian Waffle with strawberry preserves, brisket crumbles, scrambled eggs, melted cheese and home fries with salsa on top and the Bacon Brisket Sandwich, thick cut bacon with smoked brisket and bacon BBQ sauce on brioche bread.
Sign me up for one of everything please!
The restaurant will also have a bar featuring cocktails designed to pair with the bacon centric menu.

Anticipated hours will be Wednesday and Thursday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm, Friday, 4:00pm to 12 Midnight, Saturday, 10:00am to 12 Midnight, and Sunday, 10:00am to 10:00pm.
