Ashley McBryde Is Joined At Opry Induction by Eric Church, Wynonna

On Saturday night (12/10), Ashley McBryde was officially inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry by her friend Terri Clark. Other friends that joined her for her big moment were Wynonna Judd and Eric Church, who sang on the Opry stage with Ashley.

McBryde took to her Instagram to share several photos from the big night, including one of her touching her Opry member plaque, on stage with Eric Church, and backstage with friends Wynonna and Terri Clark. She captioned the images, "I keep checking… pinching myself… rechecking… to make sure last night was real. I woke up today a member of the Grand Ole Opry. All of those magical parts of last night that felt so dreamlike were REAL. It's going to take a few days (more like weeks) to process all that just happened. Here's a few moments caught on camera. More to come.@opry."

Several fans and friends responded to the post, including one who wrote, "Absolutely incredible!! You deserve it more than anyone I could think of! You give us little guys hope out here." One more fan commented, "Congratulations!! My mom and I were there when you first played at the Opry."

Wynonna Judd also posted to her Instagram a photo of her and Ashley backstage. She wrote, "She shows up for me; I show up for her. Congratulations to the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry, my sweet friend @ashleymcbryde. 🎶 I am so proud of you!!!!!!! #countrymusic."

The Opry shared several posts about Ashley's induction, including a performance clip. They wrote, "@ashleymcbryde shared a special moment with the 9:30 pm show audience last night where she closed the show with "Midnight Rider" - and then heard "the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry" for the very first time closing the show!"

In another post, the Opry shared a photo of Ashley holding her framed picture backstage in one of the Opry dressing rooms next to a framed photo of Dolly Parton. They captioned the image, "Not bad for a girl goin' nowhere."

On one more post, the Opry posted a clip of her induction by Terri Clark. They wrote, "@terriclarkmusic has officially inducted @ashleymcbryde as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry! Welcome to the family, Ashley!"

The nominees for the 2022 ACM Female Artist of the year honor are Gabby Barrett, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, and Carly Pearce.

Gabby, Ashley, and Carly have never taken home this honor.

Maren has won the honor two times in 2019 and in 2020, and Miranda has won this award nine times in a row from 2009 to 2017.

Previous winners of the honor include superstars Carrie Underwood, Reba, and Faith Hill.

The 2022 ACM Awards will be streamed live on March 7, 2022, on Prime Video. The show is hosted by Dolly Parton, Jimmie Allen, and Gabby Barrett.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think.
