Dan + Shay Announce Special Concert in Philly Area this Summer!

Yay!  So fun!  Dan + Shay are coming to Musicfest!  They will be the Bethlehem on August 6th!

Musikfest, the Lehigh Valley's famous 10-day music festival, announced Monday indie pop trio AJR and country pop music duo Dan + Shay will be joining the summertime lineup.

The two will be joining rock bands the Goo Goo Dolls and O.A.R. who announced their headliner status earlier this month.

Because today, having a baby isn't exciting enough, soon-to-be moms and dads are all trying to outdo each other when it comes to finding out whether they'll have a girl or a boy. Sometimes it goes well, but many times these stunts end with disastrous results: injuries, fires, tears, and more.

That brings me to the story of how Carrie Underwood took part in a ruined gender reveal. I won't go so far to say Carrie herself ruined it, but she definitely had her hand in it ... (video below)

During a show in Salt Lake City recently, Carrie Underwood saw a sign in the audience asking Carrie to let the soon-to-be mom know whether she was having a boy or a girl. The mom, Sydnie Ledbetter, had an envelope that contained a note from her doctor's office that contained the sex of the baby. Easy-Peasy, right? Not so much.

Carrie was handed the envelope and read the results to Sydnie and the crowd. She is having a ... GIRL! You can imagine, Sydnie went wild, the crowd went wild, and everyone was super happy and on cloud-nine.

BUT ...

Sydnie went to the doctor the next day and the nurse who wrote the note was mortified. She apparently  misread Sydnie's chart. She's not having a girl. Sydnie is having a baby boy. (scroll down for the video)

With a little help from her friends, Sydnie got the news to Carrie who said, "silver lining: boys are awesome!"
