Blake Shelton’s Casting Call For the Second Season of ‘Barmageddon’
Blake Shelton and Carson Daly’s show Barmageddon is coming back to the USA Network for a second season. This time around, along with celebrity guests, the show is casting regular people to participate in the fun bar games-based show.
Blake posted on his Instagram last night (2/8), “Let’s see y’alls best fail videos, people!!! Now casting for @barmageddonusa season 2!!!! Swipe right for more info. #Barmageddon.”
Fans were thrilled the show was coming back, with many responding to Shelton’s post. One fan wrote, “Yea, season 2! Can’t wait!” Another fan commented, “Absolutely loved the silly show. Opening w Blake singing is great. Bravo. Here’s to season 2.” One more fan suggested, “Let real folks be the contestants, not just stars!!! Looks like so much fun.”
When the show first came out in late 2022, Shelton told People of his and his buddy Carson Daly’s idea for the show, “What we were aiming for was real-life The Hangover. We wanted to try to capture that in a TV show with people that we know.” He added of the guest stars, “Unfortunately for Gwen and Sheryl [Crow], they were the very first episode that we actually taped. Gwen had to be the guinea pig for everybody else. She and Sheryl both did so well and just let their hair down and went for it. They set the bar for the tone and personality of the series. It gave us the confidence to say, ‘We really can do this. If these two icons are willing to be on this show and do shots of gross stuff and play absolutely stupid games, then we know we have something here,'”
Hosted by WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, the game show saw Blake’s pals and loved ones, including Stefani, Crow, Trace Adkins, Kane Brown, and more. The first season took place at Shelton’s Ole Red bar in Nashville. No word yet on if the second season will be there as well.
