"Good Morning America" has been traveling the U.S. in search of the best pizza in the country and after going up against Rione Pizzeria, Pizza Jawn was crowned "Best Pizza in Philadelphia".
What was the pie that won them the golden pizza cutter? The Hot Jawn, a grandma pie topped with cherry peppers, pepperoni, ricotta, fresh garlic, and Mike's Hot Honey.
The husband-and-wife duo from Pizza Jawn headed to NYC Friday (Feb. 17), to compete in the final round live in New York City, against the other first-round winners from NYC, Atlanta, Chicago and Minneapolis.
Unfortunately Pizza Jawn didn't take home the best pizza in the nation title. That went to Wrecktangle Pizza in Minneapolis, Minnesota for their breakfast pizza.
Finale judge Tiki Barber said Pizza Jawn's pie "has so much variety and hits every part of your taste buds".
