Miranda Lambert: ‘I Believe In Standing Strong In Who You Are’
When Miranda Lambert wins awards, notably the Female Vocalist Award from the CMA or ACMs, she often talks about each nominee in her acceptance speech, spotlighting their success and her own. In 2022, when newcomer Lainey Wilson won the Female Vocalist for the CMA (her first), after her win, Lainey said Miranda came right up to her with the first congratulations.
Lambert is all about the women in country music who came before her and the women who will come after her. During this Women’s History Month, Miranda said of those very women, “For the next generation of women in country music or in general, in life, I just hope that they know that they’re heard and seen, and my biggest wish is that everybody will just be real and be themselves.”
She added, “And, you know, it’s hard with all the noise that’s around with social media and everything else to find your confidence. Sometimes you find yourself confused comparing yourself to other people and what they’re doing, what their life is, but I really believe in just standing strong in who you are to the core.”

Lambert recently announced the formation of the MuttNation Foundation and Tractor Supply Company’s “Relief For Rescues Fund,” a new animal emergency response program. The Fund will enable more efficient response times to support animals in immediate need. Miranda said, “It’s no longer a question of ‘if’ – it’s just a matter of ‘when’ the inevitable will happen, and MuttNation and Tractor Supply want to be ready to help shelter pets in times of crisis. We know it’s not easy to see the road back after a major disaster. We want to provide a ray of sunlight after the storm.”
MuttNation Foundation and Tractor Supply Company have been helping with response and recovery for animal shelters nationwide for many years. Lambert herself was boots-on-the-ground in Houston, Texas, following Hurricane Harvey in 2017.
