Before his win for "Collaborative Video of the Year" ("Wait In The Truck") at Monday's (4/2) CMT Music Awards, HARDY has released an acoustic video for his new song "Happy."
HARDY posted a clip of the new video to his Instagram. "I wrote this song as a reminder to myself and anyone else who needs to hear it, what happiness really is." He captioned the post, "'happy' acoustic video is out now on YouTube."
One fan commented, "Because some people just don't know how to be thankful for simply waking up each morning." Another fan said, "One of my top 5 songs you have on your album."
See that post here.
The lyrics include, "Well happy don't have lies to tell / He doesn't want nothing from no one else and he / Never does concern himself with who's right or wrong / Happy don't like alcohol/Bitterness or cruel at all / But when he hears love sing through the wall / Well, Happy sings along."
The chorus includes the lyrics, "My old friend / Where has the time gone / We were thick as thieves / Until hate came along / What a mess / We've gotten into / Hey Happy why can't everybody just be you."

HARDY recently reached out to his fans to ask for help for the victims of the devastating tornado outbreak in the South (3/25-26). His home state of Mississippi was hit hard, with 25 people lost. The Governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves, said in a press briefing, "This is a horrific event. It's heartbreaking. There's really no other way in which to describe it. It is absolutely heartbreaking."
HARDY posted, "As most of you know, my home state of Mississippi, along with other areas of the South, were hit by severe tornados last weekend. The impact has been devastating. I ask those of you who are able to join me and others in donating to the Red Cross Southern Tornados and Storms Relief efforts."
He continued, "Your donations at the link above will support the Red Cross's efforts to make sure everyone has a safe place to stay. Has meals, emotional support, and comfort following this deadly tornado."
He added, "I send all my love and prayers back home to Mississippi."
Country music star Hardy has been making strides in his career in 2022 as he and Lainey Wilson released a haunting murder ballad called "Wait In The Truck," and country radio has been embracing it.
Hardy is also set to tour with his friend Morgan Wallen this fall after he had to cancel a few of his shows after a bad bus crash near Nashville on October 2 sent him and some of his crew to the hospital, where his bus driver Ricky remains in serious condition.
Hardy also won his second "Songwriter of the Year" award from the ACM in the spring. Hardy is a co-writer of Blake Shelton's powerful "God's Country."
