One of the great things about living in and around Philadelphia in the chance to touch and imagine history. Outside of Old City, the waterfront along the Delaware River is one of the premier spots. Penn’s Landing and the Seaport Area was the center of life in the colonial days. Today we can enjoy modern society and its conveniences and experience a touch of the old.

"There’s always something happening at Penn’s Landing. It is the top summer destination in Philadelphia that hosts concerts, fairs, food and drink,” owner Avram Hornik says, “and we are happy to be a part of it.”  Liberty Point is inspired by Philadelphia’s rich maritime history. Liberty is what sailors are granted when their ship docked at port and they were allowed to go ashore and experience the town. What’s the point of liberty unless we remember to experience it?

History making Liberty Point opens for its second season on Thursday, April 13th with several upgrades, while keeping all of the fun and entertainment of its inaugural season. Set on the Delaware River Waterfront, Liberty Point is Philadelphia’s largest outdoor restaurant showcasing unobstructed, panoramic waterfront views. This dining and entertainment destination offers seating and capacity for up to 1,400 guests. The unique outdoor-indoor concept features three levels, five bars, food, drink, live entertainment, and beautiful landscaping for unparalleled summer vibes. For its second season, Liberty Point offers a revitalized dining menu of seasonally inspired casual bites with a special emphasis on seafood. A refreshing beverage menu full of summer cocktails, beer, and wine will keep you cool while enjoying the sunshine and have you stay to see the sunset. Liberty Point is located at 211 S. Columbus Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19106, adjacent to the Independence Seaport Museum. Liberty Point opens at 4 PM on Thursday, April 13th. Daily operating hours will be Noon - 2 AM starting Friday, April 14th. Reservations are encouraged during dining hours. Walk-up seating is available, space permitting. Reservations can be made by visiting www.libertypointphilly.com. Walk-up bar service is welcome.

Music and entertainment allow you to feel the beautiful weather and escape your troubles.

Grab a seat in front of Liberty Point’s permanent stage in the heart of the restaurant complex in their massive, open-air amphitheater. Entertainment is scheduled weekly and will feature live music Friday, Saturday and Sundays with DJs throughout the week. Locally famous DJ XTina is the first to hit the DJ booth for 2023, when she spins the tunes to launch the new season on Thursday, April 13th. The Heartbeats, a local group composed of dynamic male and female lead vocalists and a full rhythm and horn section, open the live music season on Friday, May 5th at 7 PM. The full entertainment schedule can be found by visiting www.libertypointphilly.com/calendar.

For vibes, look for the breathtaking waterfront views, expansive space, unique vantage points from various levels, interesting seating styles throughout the complex - and amazing waterfront location that is central to all the activities between Spruce Street Harbor Park to Cherry Street Pier to Craft Hall - and beyond. When the weather breaks, people want to flock to enjoy the outdoor spaces the Philadelphia area has to offer. Liberty Point adds to growing demand for al fresco entertainment, offering an idyllic spot for the perfect date night, family outing, summertime celebrations, and remains open into the fun of the Fall season.

Liberty Point has three main levels, with other sub-levels, totaling 25,000 square feet of space outside and 3,000 square feet on the inside. It can host 1,400 guests at one time. Not one to accept the status quo, even with his own projects, Hornik has already offered a variety of renovations at Liberty Point. The most notable physical change for the second season is the first to second floor lift, making it that much easier for guests, especially those with physical disabilities, to access all the amenities Liberty Point has to offer.

Inside, look for an interior bar and dining area adorned with a wall of vintage mirrors so you can view the water behind you even while indoors. Natural materials accent the vintage finds, with panoramic windows to give guests the waterfront vibe without the worries of inclement weather.

Liberty Point rounds out FCM Hospitality’s impressive footprint on the Philadelphia waterfront, with Craft Hall, Unleashed Bark and Beer, The Garden at Cherry Street Pier, and Morgan's Pier.

Make it a day with FCM and sip and stroll this summer with a food and beer crawl from Liberty Point all the way down to Craft Hall with stops at The Garden at Cherry Street Pier and Morgan's Pier along the way. Parking is available in both the Walnut Street lot and Hilton Parking Garage, on either side of Liberty Point. There are also many metered spaces located close to Liberty Point, and in Old City along Front and Chestnut Streets, just a short walk away.  This is often the least expensive option.

Parks On Tap Traveling Beer Garden Returns for 2023

When the weather breaks, children in the Philadelphia area have Mr. Softee. Adults, on the other hand, have a different traveling food and drink truck to get equally as excited for. Philadelphia’s famous beer garden that gives back, Parks on Tap, is returning with its first full traveling season since COVID-19!

Starting Wednesday, April 12th, Parks on Tap will be traveling around the city, popping up in a new location every week for 25 weeks. Patrons can enjoy freshly prepared bites, local beers on tap, refreshing rose and non-alcoholic beverages in a secure outdoor environment with comfortable chairs and clean restrooms.

Despite the location, Parks on Tap always offers the perfect backdrop to your day and evenings out enjoying the beautiful, warmer weather.

The season starts in East Fairmount Park on Wednesday, April 12th at the stunning Azalea Gardens. FCM Hospitality will be doing a special direct donation to the specific parks they are visiting! On the first two hours of the first day of Parks on Tap’s stay at a number of locations, sip back and relax knowing that 25% of your sales will be donated directly to the beautiful atmosphere you are enjoying!

In addition to providing a variety of local craft beers, patrons can also expect wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages such as water and lemonade. A food menu will be available for purchase at all locations highlighting a convenient grab-and-go menu of locally sourced wraps and snacks.

Parks on Tap is family (and fido) friendly. Parks on Tap is self-contained within roped boundaries, providing its own power, bathrooms, food and drink trucks, seating, shade and lights - all without use or dependency of existing park facilities. This means more money can be raised and make a direct impact on park improvements and future programming.

Season hours for Parks on Tap are currently scheduled to be Wednesday to Friday, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10:00pm, weather permitting. Guests must register in advance for their free 2023 seasonal membership prior to entry. Food and drink are pay-as-you-go. Seating is first come, first served. For more information on the Parks on Tap and directions, please visit www.parksontap.com.

All credit cards and cash are accepted for food and drink. Credit cards are preferred.

Parks on Tap kicked off in 2016 to engage the Philadelphia community and give back to the neighborhood parks. A portion of all proceeds every year are donated to help restore and maintain Philly’s parks. Thanks to Parks on Tap’s past donations, improvements have included trail work and maintenance, tree plantings, new signage, free music, movie programs, and more.
