Carrie Underwood Celebrates Opry Anniversary With Soap Icon
Carrie Underwood spent the weekend performing at Nashville Grand Ole Opry. She celebrated her 15th anniversary of becoming an Opry member with a cake backstage. Also, she met a soap opera legend.
Carrie posted several photos to Instagram, including one of her standing next to a cake with several layers of cupcakes, a photo of herself and Suan Lucci in the Opry greenroom, and pictures of her performing on stage. She also snapped a photo of a special note her fan club “Care Bears” sent her with flowers and a donation to her C.A.T.S Foundation.
Underwood captioned the post, “Happy Anniversary to me!!! It’s been a magical 15 years of being an @opry member! It remains one of the greatest accomplishments of my career!!! Thanks to all who came out to celebrate! I truly feel honored…and loved!”

Carrie also posted a special Mother’s Day post on her Instagram yesterday (5/14), sharing many photos, including one of herself as a baby in her mother’s arms, her mom performing onstage, a picture with her Mother-in-law, her sisters with her mother, and a photo of her mother with one of her baby boys when they were really young.
She captioned the sweet photo dump, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there…and especially to my own mother! You are loved. You are appreciated! You are irreplaceable!
