Of course, we had to talk about it on 92.5 XTU.
Bryce Harper Swing Of His Life
It goes without saying that Bryce Harper is a HUGE difference-maker for the Phillies. In fact, he's signed to play for them through 2031 after signing a 13-year, $330 million contract back in 2018.
Bryce Harper Las Vegas Athletics
If you don't know this about Harper, is originally from Las Vegas. He actually went to Las Vegas High School and loves to represent his hometown. During the offseason earlier this year, he was actually out a Las Vegas Motor Speedway saying the most famous words in motorsports.
According to The Athletic, despite being from Las Vegas, he doesn't love the idea of the A's heading out to his hometown. Here's what he said in an interview.
"Now it’s, ‘Hey, we’re going to pick the A’s to come to Vegas.’ I don’t agree with that. Who cares what I think? It’s my own opinion. But when you see a team like the A’s — there’s so much history at the Coliseum with all the great players they’ve had."
How will they be successful in Las Vegas? Well, Bryce Harper thinks he knows how according to an article from Sporting News.
"You have to build around that player. But it has to be a dude. It can’t be a middle-of-the-road guy. It has to be a dude. And it should be two."
Will Bryce Harper Play In Vegas?
This is the question that everyone has been asking. Despite him signing a 13-year deal in Philadelphia, baseball has a weird way of working, like most major sports. Highly doubt logistically that it will work BUT here's what Bryce had to say about it.
"If I ever play there, then something really bad happened here,
I hope I die in a Phillies jersey."
That's so epic, I HOPE I DIE IN A PHILLIES JERSEY. You gotta love this guy.
9 Best Looking Phillies Players
We've got the Best Looking Phillies Players according to The Andie Summers Show Assistant Producer, Shannon. Do you agree or disagree with this list? Her number one is highly debated.
The team is headed to their second straight playoff appearance as they occupy the top Wild Card spot for the 2023 postseason.
Phillies Playoff Schedule
The Major League Baseball playoffs kick off with the Wild Card round on Tuesday, October 3rd. The Philadelphia Phillies have locked in the fourth seed in the playoffs (the top Wild Card spot) and will take on the fifth seed. They could end up playing any team including the Chicago Cubs, Miami Marlins (division rival), or the Cincinnati Reds but most likely the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves have secured byes in the first round of the National League side of the bracket. The Braves will play the winner of the fourth and fifth-seeded game and the Dodgers will play the winner of the Brewers and sixth-seed matchup.

Phillies Home Games
The Phillies will host the Wild Card round (which is best of three) and all the games will be at home, which is incredible. Last year, they didn't have the same advantage and still made it to the World Series! Insane. Love this team.
The Phillies Are HOT Right Now
We are talking about their gameplay, of course. They are coming off a National League Championship Series. Unfortunately, they weren't able to take home the World Series trophy, but they did a lot of missing pieces in the offseason.
They added shortstop Trea Turner, closer Craig Kimbrel, pitcher Matt Strahm, pitcher Taijuan Walker, and pitcher Gregory Soto.
Will any of the new guys make the list of best-looking Phillies??

Who Are The Best Looking Phillies?
This is entirely up to ME (Shannon, from The Andie Summers Show) so feel free to let me know what you think on our Facebook page!
Let's take a look starting with #9...
9. Aaron Nola
The starting pitcher has had an on and off year but in the final month of the season he has really turned some things around. He is in his contract year meaning he needed to really perform well this season to command getting a big contract at the end of this season. Let's see how he does in the postseason!
8. JT Realmuto
They call him "America's Catcher" because he started for Team USA during the World Baseball Classic earlier this year. He has, similar to Nola, had a difficult season. At the plate, we haven't seen the numbers we were hoping for but behind the plate (catching) he is such a force to reckoned with.
7. Trea Turner
The new guy! Our starting shortstop made the list. He got a standing ovation from the Phillies fans after a difficult first half of the season and since then he has been unstoppable. Maybe he should be higher with how much Philly has embraced him!
6. Seranthony Dominguez
He's got one heck of an arm out of the bullpen and quite frankly, one of the coolest if not the coolest name on the team. Seranthony also is one of those players that keep things light in the bullpen and dugout.
5. Rhys Hoskins
He's been out the season after having torn his ACL during a Spring Training game. Rumors swirling around if he can possibly come back to pinch hit during the postseason! That would be pretty awesome. No pressure for him to play first base with Bryce Harper filling that void.
4. Nick Castellanos
He's kind of giving that bad boy vibe but he's such a heartbreaker. His son is at almost every home game and they are always chatting it up and high fiving eachother. He was our lone representative at the All Star Game (that wasn't a pitcher) and he's getting ready for another postseason run.
3. Bryson Stott
He's had a great season this year now at second base. He's one of the best two strike hitters in the game right now. He needs more love and attention on him because he's doing great things for the Phillies and his fiancee is expecting! So exciting.
2. Bryce Harper
Need we say more? He's an absolute animal out there. He learned a new position just to be able to come back and contribute to the team more. He started off the season recovering from an offseason injury and now he continues to be our leader!
Here's Number 1!
You know him, you love him. Alec Bohm, our starting third basemen. He can also play first so he's got both corners covered. He's had a heck of season massing a personal best in most of the statistic categories.
