If you’re looking for the best of the best, one spot has been named the best resort in Pennsylvania.
VisitPA.com has put together a new list of the best resorts to visit in the Keystone State. “Whether you’re seeking a relaxing escape or eager to experience it all, here you’ll find some of the best resorts on the East Coast with lodging and attractions to suit all budgets and vacation styles — from luxurious hideaways to activity-packed camping spots at these PA resorts,” they state in the article.
The No. 1 spot on the list is not close to Philadelphia. I’ll get to that in a moment. But, the No. 3 area on the list is less than two hours from Philly. That’s Hershey Lodge in Hershey. The lodge offers a full “resort vacation” with perks such as “Hershey’s Dark Chocolate Treatments at MeltSpa by Hershey. They also offer animal encounters, signature eateries, s’mores roasts, and chocolate bingo.” They also have a 30,000-square-foot indoor pool complex called Hershey’s Water Works.
No. 2 on the list is Woodloch Resort in Hawley. This is a family spot, which is often rated the No. 1 Family Resort in the U.S. by USA Today. No. 1 on the tally for the best resort in Pennsylvania is Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs. Of the spot, VisitPA.com writers, “Seven Springs Mountain Resort is Pennsylvania’s Outdoor Adventure Headquarters with a wide array of family-friendly activities to enjoy every season of the year, with accommodations that range from hotel rooms and condos to townhouses, cottages, and chalets. Ski and snowboard in winter, then zipline, horseback ride, hike, fish in spring through the fall, or simply relax in a beautiful setting any time of year.” Find the full list here.
