We all know Peanuts characters Snoopy and Charlie Brown, but how well do you know Marcie? The Peanuts comic strip and TV specials are the brainchild of Charles Schultz, one of the most influential cartoonists in history. And Peanuts gets credit and admiration for its ability to connect with readers of all ages and do it in an emotionally intelligent manner. At its height of popularity, Peanuts was seen daily in 2,600 papers, in 75 countries, and in 21 languages. Amazing. The comic strip ran for 50 years, from 1950 until Schultz's death in 2000, but his voice will not be silenced.

Apple TV+ released a trailer for its new animated special, "Snoopy Presents: One-of-a-Kind Marcie.” The special centers around Marcie as she supports Peppermint Patty's golf training and ends up unexpectedly becoming class president. According to IMDB:

Quiet, kindhearted introvert Marcie has lots of brilliant ideas to help her friends achieve goals and solve problems. But when the world takes notice and the spotlight lands on her, sharing those ideas becomes a challenge.

The special will premiere on August 18th.
