Not only did he win $5000, but he’s become quite the Philadelphia celebrity. “He was invited to the Phillies game and he got to meet with John Kruk and talk mullets,” says Airen Ehrlich, Rory’s mother. “Rory now thinks that John Kruk is his bestie.”
RORY EHRLICH – CHEDDAR WIZ – POTTSTOWN, PA
A year ago, Rory hopped into the barber’s chair demanding a mullet. His mother was shocked, but knew her only response was to say “yes”.On that day, Rory’s mullet was born. You can find his mullet rounding 3rd base with all that shiny “cheddar” blowing in the wind. When his mullet is not on the field, it’s out doing farm chores with his cows. Usually paired with homemade jorts, a Philadelphia sports jersey, and a Whiz Wit. It’s not just a mullet, it’s a lifestyle.
If you think you’d like to enter the mullet competition, you can. They have an age range from kids all the way to 55+!

Bryce Harper Helps Lost Little Boy Find His Family Before Phillies Game (VIDEO)
Can’t turn off Dad Mode. Our beloved Bryce Harper helped a lost little boy find his family before the Phillies game. Yes, you read that correctly. Before the Phillies game against the Kansas City Royals started on Saturday night, Bryce Harper noticed a little boy crying during batting practice. So he went over to talk to him and find out what was going on.
Bryce is used to being in dad mode. He married his high school girlfriend, Kayla, in December 2016 and the couple has two adorable children: a son Krew Aron, born in August 2019, and a daughter Brooklyn Elizabeth, born in November 2020. Bryce is protective of his kids, as we rarely see their faces online or in person.
There was a lot going on Saturday night as new Phillies player Trea Turner finally hit a home run! Trea snapped his 21-game home run drought dating back to July 8, the Saturday before the All-Star break. He hit a three-run homer that helped the Phillies beat the Kansas City Royals. It came a day after the entire Citizens Bank Park stadium gave him a standing ovation before the game on Friday night. The idea took off on Phillies’ social media on Friday by telling fans to get Trea out of his slump, we need to cheer him on and show him the love. The Phillies fans delivered and Trea was almost in tears on Friday after the standing ovation. He didn’t hit a home run on Friday, but sure enough, Saturday night, Trea hit a 3-run homer to help seal the win!
I really do believe positive energy produces more positive energy. Anytime a player is struggling fans want to yell and scream and say nasty things to them, which never works. These are professional athletes, they are the best of the best, do you really think they want to suck? Of course not. They want to be great, so stop yelling and being mean. Take note of how it worked for Trea Turner and let’s bring that into the Eagles and Sixers seasons.
