Country Music Brought Luck to Philadelphia Eagles in Monday Night Football
Sure, the Birds did great on the national stage, but there’s no denying that country music brought luck to the Eagles in Monday Night Football thanks to two of our biggest stars.
“Monday Night Football” is quickly becoming the place to hear awesome new collaborations. Last week it was Chris Stapleton and Snoop Dogg’s explosive version of the Phil Collins song “In The Air Tonight.”
This week – Stapleton returned to partner with Dolly Parton on another iconic classic rock track.
The two opened up “MNF” with their version of the Bob Seger classic, “Night Moves.” It not only kicked off an evening of football but also appears in its full version on Dolly’s upcoming album “Rockstar.” And, in a way that makes me know God loves Philadelphia, the song appeared the week the Eagles played Monday Night Football. The Eagles beat up on the Bucs Monday night for a 25-11 win, bringing them to 3-0 on the season. If you like what you hear, more Dolly collabs are on the way in the coming weeks. According to ESPN, Week 6 (October 16th) will spotlight Dolly’s version of “Heartbreaker,” featuring Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo. “Magic Man” and “Rockstar” will also be featured on different weeks ahead of release day.
The full song will drop with the rest of the “Rockstar” album on November 17. Other songs on the album include “What’s Up” with Linda Perry, “Let It Be” with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, and “Bygones” with Rob Halford.
