Philadelphia Eagles Sign NFL Legend To Active Roster – Should Play Sunday
Howie Roseman isn’t playing. The Philadelphia Eagles signed an NFL legend to the active roster, and he should play on Sunday. The Eagles take on the Dolphins in Sunday Night Football. They are home at the Linc and it’s the first game where they will play in Kelly Green. After the loss to the Jets, the Eagles must win this game. Miami has the hottest offensive in the NFL right now.
Julio Jones was a long-time staple on the Atlanta Falcons, he played with Matt Ryan and almost had a catch in the end zone during the Eagles vs Falcons game in 2018. It was 4th down and Matt Ryan threw it to Julio in the end zone while all of Philadelphia held our breath. Luckily he dropped it, which is rare, and the Eagles went on to play the Vikings, then obviously beat the Patriots to win the Super Bowl. I still cry thinking about it.
Wide receiver Julio Jones, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday. Julio, who’s 34, will be reunited with former Tennessee Titans teammate, AJ Brown, who pushed for Tennessee to trade for him in 2021.
What a time to be a Philadelphia fan. The Eagles, Phillies, and even though the Sixers and Flyers have their issues, Joel Embiid was still the MVP of the NBA last year. It’s pretty remarkable when you think about it.
We get to cheer on the Phillies this week, and then channel all that positive energy into the Eagles for Sunday night. I have a feeling we might see Julio enjoying a Phillies game so he can take in the excitement that is Philadelphia. No one cheers for their teams like Philly fans and so many players want to experience that sheer excitement. Hopefully, Julio Jones is able to show Philly he still has it and gives us some big plays.
