The Wells Fargo Center underwent the final phase of the arena's $400+ million transformation project. The event level where the Flyers' new locker rooms and facilities are located was a $30 million renovation. While the fans won't be able to utilize the player's locker rooms or lounges, there is something that any fan can gain access to. Although the event floor is centered around the players, there is the Shift4Club. The club is one of the top-tier courtside/ice-side clubs for an exclusive dining experience. Fans with these tickets can now enter through the marble-filled grand staircase that takes you to the mists of the newly renovated event floor.
For The Players
Notably, the most memorable part about all the renovations was honoring the missed and beloved Mr. Ed Snider. When asked the CEO of Comcast Spectacor, Dan Hilferty, about the significance of Mr. Snider, he gracefully answered that he (Ed Snider) is Philadelphia.
Without question, the arena's $400+ million transformation displays an enormous amount of attention to detail. In the coaches and management-only lounge, it's a tribute to the Spectrum. The room has Spectrum green and displays pictures of different concerts and sporting events. This room, while new, holds a lot of history and memorabilia.
Arugmentivly, the Flyers' spa might be the ultimate definition of relaxation. This spa features hot tubs, cold tubs, and saunas. The purpose behind the spa was to allow the players to utilize a more luxurious spot to rewind after the games. The spa is connected to the Flyers' locker room, allowing the players accessible access to the amenities.
Overall, the importance of having state-of-the-arch locker rooms, facilities, and presence comes in perfect timing with the team's rebuild. Oddly enough, the renovations would have happened despite the group's state, and this was always the plan. The timing seemingly seems to fit, which makes it all the better.
