To have and to hold, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. Go Birds. That might be what the vows sounded like on Sunday when a couple of big Eagles fans became husband and wife while tailgating before the Philadelphia Eagles v Dallas Cowboys game. It was an Eagles Tailgate Wedding! Did the wedding bring good luck? It very may well have.
What do you wear to an Eagles Tailgate Wedding?
Well, guests have it easy. You dress for the game! Unless you are a flower girl, in which case a pretty white dress – fit for a First Holy Communion – will do. Throw in a tiara for good measure.
The groom was decked out in a white, number 91 Fletcher Cox jersey. As for the bride, she wore a remarkably beautiful and appropriate beige gown with green embellishments. Her veil was white and the coveted kelly green. And she wore a jersey draped across her back.
Who is the happy couple?
Today, they are Mr. and Mrs. Rittner. Brooke and Rob are clearly massive Eagles fans who posed with a banner celebrating both their wedding and Jason Kelce’s birthday.
That’s dedication.
The couple’s Eagles Tailgate Wedding Save the Date looked like tickets to the game. It included a photo of the happy couple, wearing their Eagles jerseys, and holding their hands in the shape of a heart. It had the date, masked as Section, Row, and Seat, and read:
Brooke and Rob are getting married
LFF Lot N
12N – 4p
Tickets not included
And yes, the wedding very well may have added a little luck to the Eagles’ performance on Sunday. With minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the Birds risked losing to the dreaded Cowboys. The defense was not about to let that happen, blocking the ‘Boys final attempt at a touchdown.
… and they lived happily ever after.
Jason Kelce Reveals Amazing Surprise Guests On Eagles New Christmas Album
It was teased a few months ago, and it’s finally happening. Jason Kelce reveals amazing surprise guests on the Eagles’ new Christmas album. We were so excited last year when Jason announced his idea was becoming a reality. A real Christmas album with songs sung by our favorite Eagles players. Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata are the three main players featured on last year’s and this year’s album, but if you listened to last year’s album, you know they did a fun piece at the end with all the players basically reciting ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas with a Philly twist. It was fun hearing Jalen Hurts because he can play football, but he sure can’t sing.
A Philly Special Christmas Special will have 11 tracks, including a Jason Kelce original called “Santa’s Night.” Yes, an original, as in Jason Kelce wrote the song himself! How crazy that he had his idea to do this Christmas album last year, it was so successful that it ended up on the Billboard Charts, so he decided to not only do another album for this year but almost write an original Christmas song. AND THEN his brother Travis Kelce started dating Taylor Swift. I don’t think Jason met Taylor yet, but imagine if he went to her for advice on songwriting!
The album will support initiatives from CHOP and the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center, which is who the album supported last year. CHOP will put its share of the proceeds toward its Snowflake Station, a pop-up toy store that allows caregivers of sick kids to select presents at no cost, while CCTC will spend its funding on its annual toy drive.
The $75 vinyl of the new album and $125 vinyl of both holiday albums will be available for preorder starting on Friday, Nov. 3. Check out all the special guests who are featured on this year’s album.
