Beavis and Butt-Head SNL Sketch: Gosling & Cast Break
Beavis and Butt-Head SNL Sketch: Gosling & Cast Break
Ryan Gosling returned for his third time to host Saturday Night Live over the weekend. Gosling has been busy filming and promoting his role as Ken in the “Barbie” movie for the past year. Now, he is promoting his latest movie starring himself and Emily Blunt called, “The Fall Guy.”
If you’ve only seen Ryan Gosling in serious roles, you’re missing out because he’s incredibly funny. He’s not afraid to become a goofy character. Check out his song from the Barbie movie, “I’m Just Ken“ and his performance of the nominated song at the Oscars.
Beavis and Butt-Head
Bevais & Butt-Head was a cartoon focused on two teenagers that sit in their room and act like, well, teenage boys. They tell crude jokes in a monotone voice. Everyone from the 90’s knows exactly who these boys are. If you’re one of these people, watch the sketch below for a great belly-laugh.
Gosling Breaks Character
Gosling broke character in every sketch he was in while hosting Saturday Night Live, but their was only one that broke the rest of the cast too called Beavis & Butt-Head. Heidi Gardener is a journalist interviewing a professor, played by Kenan Thompson, on his opinions concerning AI. The room is filled with regular, everyday people, or so we think. When the Professor is distracted by someone in the audience, it’s revealed that we are looking at a real-life version of Beavis from the popular cartoon, Beavis & Butt-Head.
Shout out to Saturday Night Live’s makeup and costume department because they knocked it out of the park with this sketch. From nose and lip prosthetics to costume & wigs, we are looking at real-life Beavis and Butt-Head characters. Not only did the live audience laugh at these believable costumes, but it completely broke the cast.
This is when SNL truly shines, in sketches like this. Here, we see Heidi Gardner take her first look at Mikey Day’s “Butt-Head” costume and totally lose it. So much so, she has to giggle through her lines just to make it through the sketch and making viewers at home have a great laugh too.
