Wawa coffee is free today in celebration of their 60th birthday! This is a big deal for those of in the Delaware Valley who LOVE us some Wawa. This is a very special “Wawa Day” so take advantage of it.

Wawa Coffee Free Today
Today all Wawa locations will offer free coffee of any size to customers all day long. And if coffee isn’t your thing, they’ll also have tea, juice, and lemonade, along with a special birthday cake doughnut, for just 60 cents each. The history of the chain dates back actually to 1902 when the founding family took up dairy farming and delivered milk door-to-door.
Times have changed since then, Grahame Wood opened the very first Wawa store on April 16th, 1964 in Folsom, PA.
The chain has expanded significantly over the years and now operates over a thousand locations across several states including New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Florida.
Other Activities At Wawa Today
On April 16th, as they celebrate their 60th birthday, there is a whole lot going on. Customers are invited to kick off Wawa Day at the 6th and Chestnut St in Philadelphia location from 7-8am for the ceremonial coffee pour to kick off the day.
Also, this is really cool, Wawa is sponsoring Free Admission to the National Constitution Center at 525 Arch St from 10am-4pm. They actually are planning on unveiling a very special Wawa History exhibit that will be on display through April 21st.

Become A “Day Brightener”
Every store has selected a customer to recognize on Wawa Day as a “Day Brightener” to capture the special relationships between associates and customers. Those connections, according to a press release from the chain, “brighten days.” Each one of these special customers will be presented with a sash, vintage mug and a week supply of free coffee.
