The Philly Phanatic is the most iconic mascot in maybe ALL of sports but most definitely in Major League Baseball. The Philadelphia Phillies are lucky to have the most amazing mascot in the world. What a perfect Cup o' Joy story.
Trevor Mosiondz is a big winner of the North Penn Water Authority's competition to design and paint the next fire hydrant. It will be on display outside NPWA’s Operations Center, located at 300 Forty Foot Road in Towamencin. Check it out here.
According to NorthPennNow, "a sign with his name will also accompany the hydrant, which will remain there until a new winner is announced during next year’s contest."

Hydrant Competition, How Did He Win?
The contest was held during National Drinking Water Week in May, 2024. Kindergarten to fifth grade students had the opportunity to enter in for this chance to win. Over 70 entries were taken and members of the NPWA staff voted on the winner back on May 10th.
“Over the five years we’ve held this contest, we’ve never had an entry of the Phanatic! This idea was truly unique and will surely be loved by employees, visitors, and Phillies fans of all ages. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out,” said Anthony Bellitto, Jr., executive director of NPWA. “We thank all of the participants who designed and submitted a fire hydrant for our Drinking Water Week contest; we look forward to seeing the creative designs each year.”

If you get hungry, you can grab some delicious food from Reading Terminal Market or a cheesesteak from Pat's or Geno's.
Wherever the Phanatic takes you on a first date, it's sure to be a memorable experience. He's a creative and thoughtful planner, and he always chooses a spot that he knows you'll enjoy. We're just hoping that he shows up in pants.
