Cirque du Soleil's celebrated show "OVO" is returning to Philadelphia. Performances will be held July 11 to 13 at the Wells Fargo Center.

Following its spectacular European tour, "OVO" will delight Philadelphians with a vibrant spectacle that has charmed audiences for over 15 years. The insect-themed production showcases various performances, which include crickets bouncing on trampolines and a contorting spider.

After working with the original creators of "OVO," a team of more than 135 professionals have reimagined the production for 2025. Features include a new set design, dynamic acrobatic acts and characters, lively costumes, and an upgraded musical score in the production.

According to the Cirque du Soleil website, "OVO," which means "egg" in Portuguese, tells the story of a ladybug who captures the attention of an unusual insect that has just moved into a new neighborhood, and the two fall in love. The performance "plunges the audience into the hidden universe alive at our feet; an ecosystem teeming with life and unseen beings — insects that work, eat, crawl, flutter, feast, fight, and court among each other in an ongoing explosion of energy and movement."

Tickets for the general public went on sale Monday, Feb. 24, and are available online.
