If you're getting a head start packing your beach bag for summer vacations, don't forget to get a jump on buying your beach tags. Here's how much the tags for Jersey Shore beaches will cost you this year.
Atlantic City and Wildwood
Both locations will remain free for beach access for the 2025 season.
Cape May
Beach tags are available for purchase at a pre-season rate of $30 until April 30. The tags can be bought in person at the Cape May City Hall's tax office or by mail order from City Hall. Seasonal tags can also be purchased from Jersey Cape Tags for $32.34.
Free beach tags are available to active-duty military members and veterans from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, and the New Jersey National Guard. Active military can also receive tags for their spouse or civil partner and dependent children 12 and older. Cape May requires beach tags for all beach visitors 12 and older.
Margate
Margate beach tags are available for a pre-season rate of $10 for regular tags and $12 for holiday tags. Adults 65 and older pay $3.50. These prices will hold until May 31. Beginning June 1, all beach tags will increase to $20.
Veterans and active military can receive free seasonal tags, and spouses of active-duty military can receive one free seasonal tag. Tags can be bought in person at the Martin Bloom Pavillion, online at Jersey Cape Tags, or digitally through the MyBeach Mobile App.
Margate requires tags for all beach visitors 12 and older.
Ocean City
Pre-seasonal beach tags are available for $30 at Ocean City's online stores. Weekly tags cost $20, and daily tags are $10 for purchase during the season. The municipality requires all guests 12 and older to have beach tags from June 1 through Sept. 1.
Sea Isle City
Seasonal beach tags are currently for sale at a pre-season rate of $25 for in-person payment. Beginning May 15, the tags increase to $30. Daily tags are available for $10, and weekly tags are $15. All Wednesdays during the beach season are free, except for Fourth of July. Tags can also be purchased online from Jersey Cape Tags for $27.05.
Sea Isle City requires beach tags for all guests 12 and older, seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the season, which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
