Lincoln Mill Haunted House in Philadelphia is hosting a special pop-up event, Darkness Rising, for one night only on Saturday, May 3rd, the eve of National Star Wars Day.

This Star Wars inspired haunted house blends sci-fi and horror, featuring live scare actors, cinematic sets, animatronics, and eerie special effects. Guests will navigate a haunted textile mill with a dark past, evading Darth Kane—a villain corrupted by an evil force—and his vengeful workers.

The experience includes ultraviolet-lit chambers, a haunting Star Wars-themed soundtrack, and Sith-inspired costumes. Unique touches like "sabersaws" (chainsaw lightsabers) add to the atmosphere, along with nods to the classic good-versus-evil conflict from Star Wars.

Tours run from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with tickets available at lincolnmillhaunt.com.

The Star Wars Inspired Haunted House Backstory

Beneath the mill lies a hidden chamber, sealed for over a century. When the seal was broken, an unnatural presence spread through the mill, unleashing spirits that had long been trapped. The mill owner, Darth Kane, has risen, and he is searching for new souls to claim. You must navigate the hidden chamber, avoiding his vengeful workers and resisting the suffocating pull of the Dark Side. Will you escape, or be consumed by the Dark Side?

Co-founder Jared Bilsak highlights how Star Wars stories inspired Lincoln Mill's narrative, noting parallels between Darth Vader and the haunted house's antagonist, Viktor Kane. Building on its 2023 debut, this updated version promises a fresh experience for Star Wars and horror fans alike.
