Chester County Library Offers Career Resources for Job Seekers

The Chester County Library & District Center Business and Career Librarian Mikaila Strano has announced the introduction of new career resources and services to the library's Business Center via a library press release.

Patrons can sign up for a mock interview, which pairs individuals with volunteers to practice for upcoming job interviews. Participants are asked to bring a prepared resume and dress professionally. Volunteers will provide written feedback for all mock interview participants. Individuals who don't have a resume can participate in the library's monthly Resume and Job Search Workshop, held in collaboration with PA CareerLink.

PA CareerLink will host open office hours every Tuesday from noon to 3 p.m. in the library's Reference Department. Patrons are invited to drop in during this time to talk with a CareerLink representative about career programs and services available to adults and young adults. 

The library will host a professional headshot event on Monday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Struble Room. Photos taken during the event can be used for LinkedIn profiles or business websites. Participants will receive digital copies of their photographs that they can use as appropriate. While this event is drop-in, participants are encouraged to register with the library in advance to ensure their contact information is correct.
