If you've ever wanted to tickle the ivories played by celebrities, here's your chance.
Steinway & Sons has announced a nationwide tour titled “Steinways of the Stars.” The tour offers music lovers and pianists an unparalleled opportunity to play pianos used by some of the 21st-century's most notable names, including Jacob Collier, Lady Gaga, Laufey, and Olivia Rodrigo.
From June 7-12, Steinway & Sons Princeton will feature a Steinway Spirio | r concert grand Model D in a gold glitter finish that Lady Gaga used and an Ebony Model M grand piano that defined Steinway Artist Laufey's “Bewitched” tour.
"Whether you're a seasoned pianist or a passionate enthusiast, this hands-on experience lets you channel the artistry of these stars who have shaped music history," a statement on the Steinway & Sons website noted. "Each instrument holds its own story, resonance, and soul — and now, it's your turn to become part of that story. Step into the spotlight and play the pianos the greats once did."
Here's when you can take advantage of this opportunity to sit down at the keys for “Steinways of the Stars” in Philadelphia, Princeton, and Paramus:
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Wednesday, May 28, through Thursday, June 5
- Princeton, New Jersey: Saturday, June 7, through Thursday, June 12
- Paramus, New Jersey: Wednesday, June 18, through Sunday, June 22
Registration is being accepted now on the Steinway & Sons website. Participants must be 18 or older or accompanied by an adult.
