More than 30 performing artists from across the United States will take part in the 13th annual Ladybug Music Festival in downtown Wilmington.

Established in 2012 and produced by Gable Music Ventures, the Ladybug Music Festival was created to provide additional performance opportunities for women in the music industry. This year's event will feature a main stage, now moved indoors to the Queen Theater due to rain, plus performances at venues that include Huxley & Hiro, Merchant Bar, The Crown at The Queen, The Quoin's rooftop, and Willingtown Square. These locations will host diverse performers from the Wilmington and Philadelphia regions as well as Florida, New York, and Tennessee.

According to a Delaware Live report, this year's headliner will be pop-rock artist Margaret Glaspy. Her EP "The Sun Doesn't Think" (ATO Records) builds on the work from her acclaimed album "Echo The Diamond," which received recognition from The New York Times, NPR, and The New Yorker.

Additional performers scheduled to appear include Georgia-based R&B and blues ensemble AE the Cool, Grammy-nominated blues-rock icon Martha Wash, Latina and world music trailblazer Eljuri, and Philadelphia alternative-rock band KOSER.

The festival begins at 4:15 p.m. with DJ Shadylady on the Main Stage before live performances commence at 5 p.m. Fans can catch DJ Shadylady performing again at the festival's after-party held at The Crown at The Queen beginning at 10:30 p.m.
