The upcoming 34th Philadelphia Film Festival is set to showcase more than 100 films across 11 days, from Oct. 16 to Oct. 26, in Philadelphia.
Building on last year's success, which drew more than 30,000 attendees, this year's festival is expected to attract large crowds to multiple venues across the city.
The festival will kick off with the screening of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, directed by Rian Johnson, who will attend the opening night event.
"Two of the biggest films, two of our centerpieces, have significant Philly ties," said J. Andrew Greenblatt, the CEO and executive director of the Philadelphia Film Society, to Action News 6. "We've got Bradley Cooper's new film, directed by Bradley Cooper, called Is This Thing On? And then we have another film called Eternity, which stars Miles Teller. Big Philly ties, and we're thrilled to bring them here first."
Eternity also stars Oscar-winning Mount Airy native and Temple University alumna Da'Vine Joy Randolph.
Throughout the event, attendees can enjoy Q&A sessions with stars and filmmakers, as well as special screenings of the finale of HBO's Task and Amazon Prime's Allen Iv3rson docuseries.
