Four Philadelphia restaurants have been recognized in the Resy list of the 100 best restaurants in the nation.
Resy, an online restaurant reservation service, named the following establishments to its “Resy 100.” The list highlights a “curation of restaurants that thrill us, that serve exceptional food that alternately might be comforting or daring, traditional or completely new.”
“... They don't have to be new,” the company said, referencing the 100 restaurants on the list. “They don't have to have a famous chef at the helm. They could be absolutely anywhere — as we've learned, a great meal can find you where you least expect it, whether you've traversed the country or just headed down the block.”
Here are the restaurants Resy has highlighted for outstanding food and service in Philadelphia:
- No. 20: Little Fish BYOB, 746 S. Sixth St.
Led by chef and owner Alex Yoon, Little Fish BYOB was celebrated for its Asian-influenced dishes like Korean-style seafood hotpot and spicy shrimp rendang. - No. 23: Irwin's, 800 Mifflin St.
Irwin's offers stunning views from the top of the Bok Building. A special 10-course menu, available every other Sunday, is provided at Salvatore's Counter, featuring a four-seat experience. - No. 58: Meetinghouse Bar and Beer Company, 2331 E. Cumberland St.
Meetinghouse Bar and Beer Company is renowned for its hearty, no-frills American bar fare, featuring sumptuous roast beef sandwiches and plate-sized fried turkey cutlets. - No. 70: Southwark, 701 S. Fourth St.
Southwark is a Queen Village hotspot run by chef Chris D'Ambro and Marina De Oliveira. It's known for its modern American menu, classic bar, and inviting patio.
Resy represents approximately 10,000 dining establishments nationwide, the company stated in a news release containing the rankings.
