The Exit Zero Jazz Festival will take place from Nov. 7-9 in Cape May, New Jersey. It features a diverse lineup of jazz legends and emerging artists across multiple venues, including Convention Hall and the Clemans Theater.
This event celebrates international jazz talent and local performances. Festivities will span several venues such as Carney's Main Room and Harry's at the Montreal Beach Resort.
Headlining performances feature renowned artists Stanley Clarke, making his first appearance at the festival, and Cassandra Wilson, who will celebrate the 30th anniversary of her GRAMMY-winning album New Moon Daughter.
Clarke, a five-time GRAMMY winner and National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Jazz Master, will showcase his bass virtuosity and genre-blending compositions with a talented band of young musicians, 4EVER.
The festival's Saturday lineup includes legendary jazz musicians such as Edgardo Cintron playing the jazz sides of Carlos Santana and Alphonso Horne Gotham Kings.
On Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m. at Convention Hall, Wilson will perform hits from her acclaimed album New Moon Daughter, highlighting her signature blend of jazz, blues, and pop, which earned her a GRAMMY.
According to New Jersey Stage, the Exit Zero Jazz Festival debuted in November 2012 in Cape May. The festival takes place twice a year, spring and autumn. Learn more by visiting the festival's website.
